Today we will see a plugin with which we will be able to create a reservation system for a restaurant with WordPress.
This plugin gives us the option to add a reservation form on our website so that the user can make reservations directly without having to call by phone. This plugin is called ‘Restaurant Reservations‘ is free and you will find it in the WordPress repository.
CREATE A RESERVATION SYSTEM WITH RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS.
Once installed and activated the plugin the first thing we have to do is go to the settings tab that we will find on the left of our desktop where we will see three tabs.
In the ‘General’ tab we can select the form page of the reservations, the minimum number of guests, the maximum number of guests, request the phone number and make it mandatory and customize the message to display after making the reservation. We can also modify other aspects such as language, block ips, block e-mails and several other things (in the video we can see the plugin settings in more detail).
In the tab ‘reservation scheduling’ we can modify the days we work and the operating hours of our restaurant, we can create as many rules as we want and configure all aspects that have to do with reservations such as requiring minimum time to make a reservation, days in advance, etc… Then we also have the tab ‘notifications’ where we can modify the e-mails to our liking.

If we go to visit the page that we have selected before in the plugin settings as the main page of the reservations, we will find a form where the customer can choose the date of the reservation, the time, the number of diners and fill in their personal data. He can also add extra notes and remarks.
Once the reservation has been made and sent through the form, if we go to our control panel and click on the ‘reservations’ tab we will see a list with all the reservation proposals and there we will be able to complete them, cancel them and send emails to the customers who have made the reservation.
