This is the fundamental question that someone who has lost their job asks: What am I going to do now? What am Igoing to do now?Am I going to be one more on the list? The normal thing to do is to make an appointment at the Employment and Training Service in your province and ask for an appointment so that you don’t miss it, to apply for unemployment benefits. It is a right that we all have, but:
Am I going to sign up for endless selection processes that at the end of the whole process it turns out that they want someone to act as a freelancer?
There is a minority when this happens, when they are out of work, who look at it as an opportunity. An opportunity to embark on a new path in your life, a new direction, undertaking the most rewarding job in the world, because it is yours and you are going to earn it by yourself, nobody is going to give you anything for free. For all those who have decided to undertake few tips I can give them. That’s why I decided to write this post to make all those people who are waiting, extending their benefits that someday will end, to make them think that either we move or no one will come to give us a push.
A Self-Employed or Company pays less taxes than an employee.
This is basic. Everyone knows that a self-employed person pays less taxes than an employee. Let’s take an example:
Let’s imagine a maintenance employee of a bank and a freelancer who provides his service to the bank for that same job. The employee pays his withholding tax before being paid, and then, with what he has left over, everything he buys has to be paid with the corresponding VAT, so he has to pay tax on everything.
In the case of the self-employed, he first receives the same gross amount as the employee, but adding the VAT, although (if it is a professional service, the withholding is also deducted) and from everything he buys or spends, which is for his work, he compensates the corresponding VAT with the one paid by the bank.
In short, the employee, before being paid, first pays, and then continues to pay taxes with what he has received. The employer first collects, and from what is left over after spending, he pays taxes. It is very simple.
You are seeing the birth of your own company
When you start a new business, it is undoubtedly a personal satisfaction unmatched business, only surpassed when you see your company grow and improve, and grow with you, or have problems just like you and between the two solve them. But now there are two of you, you and your company. It’s yours, it’s something of your own, it’s like a child, saving distances, only a child that feeds you, that produces assets for you, and that you will fight to generate as few liabilities as possible. Motivation when you start something is crucial, but not at the beginning, which is always sky high, but in the first problems.
You are your own boss. Nobody bosses you around.
Today’s freelancer would say. That’s false, especially if you’re married. But in your company everything is yours. You decide. You don’t have anyone in front of you to tell you off for being late. Mostly because if you’re late in your own company it affects your own profit. And if you’re still late, it’s because you feel like it and you can handle it, and no one is going to say anything to you. Although I am one of those who think that you have to set an example with your employees, I deeply admire those who are late for work, I wish I could do the same.
