Let’s see with a drawing how the links that we make to our web pages work to gain authority and strength for Google. To be at the top of the Google search engine we have to create links. I am not going to explain if it is better or worse to put a link in forums, profiles, in a specific category, whether it is dofollow or nofollow, etc, what I am going to explain is how to transmit strength from link to link.
Linking to Forums to Transfer Strength to your website
Well, here we have a forum in which we have put a link pointing to a post on our website. That post number one has a link pointing to post number two. And post number two has another link pointing to post number three.
So, we’ve put a link in some forum to one of our posts, and that link passes on strength, the strength or authority that forum has. It will pass 100% of the strength of that forum to our website. Therefore it will increase the authority of our website.

But that’s not all, as it will also pass on some of the strength to the links that the number one post has. It will not be 100% but much less, let’s say 50%. But it will still pass some strength to the third level of links, so post number three will also benefit from that link made in the forum.
These percentages I have given are obviously not exact. There are also many factors such as whether it is dofollow or nofollow, how many internal and external links that Forum has, because the more links it has, then the more diluted the strength it can transmit.
Creating a Linking Strategy
Then we can have many strategies knowing how the distribution of power works when creating a link. We can create a Blog in Blogger, in WordPress.com, or in any free blog on the internet. We can create a link in a forum and thus transmit authority to our other posts on the web.

As I say there are many variables that determine the strength that a link can transmit. I just wanted to explain how it works and that people have it clear when doing linkbuilding. You can also promote your website with your link on facebook pages or twitter, i.e. on as many social networks as you can. But as I wrote in this post, it is not a good idea to put your social media profile on your website as you take them to another page and they don’t convert into sales or what you want them to do.
I hope you liked this linkbuilding strategy. You can also take a look at these two very interesting posts here.
