Today I’m going to show you a plugin that has just been released in the WordPress repository with which you are going to be able to adapt the comments of your website made with WordPress to the new Data Protection Act of May 25, 2018.
This plugin is called ‘webappdesign GDPR Comments’ and is free.
ADAPT WORDPRESS COMMENTS TO GDPR WITH WEBAPPDESIGN GDPR COMMENTS.
We install and activate the plugin.
Now we will see that we have a new tab on the left side of our WordPress desktop. If we click it will take us to a new screen where we can insert the data to be displayed in the comments section.
Once we have filled in all the necessary data we will click on ‘save config’. Now if we go to any post, we will see something like this just below the comment editor. (This plugin being new comes completely in English, so, in order to translate it we will have to download the plugin ‘loco translate’, create a new language ‘spanish’ and translate everything we want).

In the following video we will install and activate the plugin, fill in some invented data in the options boxes, we will see how it looks visually in the front end and we will download the plugin ‘loco translate’ and we will see how we can translate the phrases and texts of the plugin.
And that’s it, you’ve seen how easy it is to adapt your WordPress comments to the new Data Protection Act of May 25 (gdpr).
